Hamiltonhill Regeneration

______ Hamiltonhill is a large £90 million development of more than 600 new mixed-tenure homes in one of Glasgow’s key regeneration areas for Queens Cross housing Association.
___________Introduction
The first phase will see the delivery of 177 homes for social rent, in partnership with Urban Union, who will deliver a further 24 homes for sale. The project is designed by Collective Architecture and consists of a mix of medium-rise flats, cottage flats and terraced housing. There will also be provision for five parks throughout the overall development including a community garden.

___________Sustainability
The development is designed to achieve Silver Active level under Section 7 (Sustainability) of the 2017 Building Standards. The project was also required to achieve a 15% carbon emissions abatement using Low and Zero Carbon Generating Technologies (LZCGT).
___________Impact
Carbon Futures have been appointed to develop a cost-effective and practical energy and sustainability strategy for the development. This will involve in-depth discussion with the key stakeholders in order to determine the most practical energy strategy for the development.
Additional services provided by Carbon Futures included Approved Certifier of Design (Energy) certification, Building Regulation Compliance through the provision of SAP Calculations, provision of Energy Performance Certification and Thermal Modelling.
